TALLAHASSEE –The Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will hold a working meeting via teleconference on Friday, July 30, 2010, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, EDT.
The meeting is open to the public and all interested parties are invited to listen in by telephone or remote CART. However, due to time constraints and that fact that this is a dedicated fiscal planning meeting, there will not be a public hearing nor public participation.
Nearly 3 million Florida residents are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened or deaf-blind, making people with hearing loss the largest disability group in the State of Florida. Florida has the second largest population of people who are deaf or hard of hearing in the nation.
The subject of the meeting will be budget planning by the Council for the coming fiscal year.
